Yellowfins are critically endangered, so there are stringent regulations in place to preserve and rejuvenate their population. Thes regulations include:

  • minimum size limits to catch commercially and recreationally

  • approved fishing gear and methods such as hand-operated longlines and poles.

  • time and area limitations

Gotham sources yellowfin tuna from a different region every season to avoid overfishing. This spring, we are sourcing from Hawaii, South Africa, and South America.
